Good quality bubble wrap is useful for many different reasons, and has many different purposes. You can use it to protect your things during a house or office move, to ensure that they reach the destination untouched. You can use it to protect something that you are putting into storage, which you know you will want to use again in future. 
You could also use top quality bubble wrap to help you ship things in the post too, to ensure they reach the recipient in great condition too. But one question that is asked commonly is do you need to use more than one layer of bubble wrap for the ultimate level of protection against damage?


  • For the largest and heaviest of things that you are protecting, you will often need to put more than one layer of ordinary bubble wrap around them to give extra cushioning against damage yes. The reason being because the small bubbles will pop and become compressed very easily with heavy things, so it is best to do a double layer of bubble wrap, or use bubble wrap with extra large bubbles which will give the same effect.
  • For smaller and medium sized items, just one layer of high quality bubble wrap will do. The reason being because the bubbles are very clever, and they pass the pressure among themselves so that each and every bubble works together to protect your things. A single layer of them will protect most things as long as they are not too heavy.
  • When you use bubble wrap for sale with one or two layers, the most important thing is to secure it tightly onto the item and to seal the edges with some strong tape as well. This will ensure that the bubble wrap does not fall off of the item you are trying to protect, and it also ensures that water and dirt cannot get to the item either.
  • It is also paramount that you do not leave any gaps so that the bubble wrap near me completely covers the item, even with just one layer. You therefore need to ensure that you buy a roll of bubble wrap that is the correct length to do the job, and no shorter.
